    Can't stand this exhaust rattle

Hello all. Here's the scoop....I have Hooker Longtube headers and an off-raod y-pipe that meet up to a Flowmaster cat-back exhaust. I'm getting a ton of metallic sounding exhaust rattle in the 2,300 rpm range. I've noticed that the rattle isn't as bad after installing the SFC's, however something is causing the system to rattle. I know the exhaust runs VERY close to the driveshaft and maybe that has something to do with it.

Has anyone had a similar problem with their exhaust and if so, what did you do to fix it? I've thought about picking up the heat wrap that you use on non-coated headers and thought it might be heavy enough (and soft enough) to help stop the vibration/rattle. What do you guys think?

And yes, I know that Flowmaster doesn't flow anywhere near the other high-end mufflers on the market, but I LOVE the sound.....hence, replacing the exhaust system to get rid of the rattle would only be a last resort solution.

THanks! I'll look around to see what I can find, because I would gladly pay $40.00 to fix it!

You have to find the source of the rattle before buying something you may not need. Put the car on a lift with it running to find the rattle
