borla muffler vs. none at all

I currently have longtube headers ory to a borla but right before the muffler the passenger side is nearly straight piped and it y's toward the driver side into the borla..my ? Is is how would the sound, loudness, and performance vary from the plateless borla to no muffler at all just a pipe there..this is just a thought?

Find a good shop and ask. See if they will pull off the muffler so you can hear it. Thats what I did and its the only thing that sold me to go with what I did. The resonators will be enough to make it legal not to have a muffler in some states. Or DIY.

I usually ran my Borla with no plates and loved it. It is loud in the higher RPMs though.

As far as running with no muffler just straight pipe, its going to be obnoxiously loud and sound like a dump/farm/garbage truck. If you like that sound, by all means go for the straight pipe/no muffler.

to no muffler. Gotta have somethin to give it a little tone. Borlas have a great sound. Your call though.
It's not how fast you can go. It's how fast you can get there.

Running the Borla with no plate almost=no muffler. It's basically a cutout at the rear end of the car.
