Borla, Magnaflow, and Dynomax muffler experience...

I'm currently in a dilemma attempting to choose mufflers for a new dual exhaust for the Z. I've narrowed it down to the mufflers that will possibly be able to fit in the stock location. Unfortunately I haven't been able to hear any of these mufflers in person to tell if I'll be happy with them. Here are some of the requirements I'm looking to meet:
    Must be 3" in/out (dual 3" exhaust)
I don't like the raspy LM tone....I'm looking for a nice sports car rumble...something mean and aggresive.
Can't be "wake the dead" loud so I'm getting pulled over or be so loud and annoying I get a headache and don't enjoy driving the car. Pretty much more mild when driving or cruising, but has a balls out sound when WOT. Here's what I've narrowed it down to:
    Magnaflow
    • 12469 – 3” dual/dual 18”case x 24”overall x 5”thick x 8”wide
    • 14419 – 3” 14”case x 4”round x 20”overall
    Dynomax
    • 17554 – 3” Ultraflo X 20x9.75x4.5 25”overall
    Borla XR-1 3” in/out
    • 40943 – 12x4.5x7 7/8 oval $140
    • 40944 – 16x4.5x7 7/8 oval $153
    • 40085 – 15” long 5” round $130
    Stainless Works

I'm currently making some Borla XR1's out of cardboard to test some setups.
I've heard the dynomax is pretty quiet...almost too quiet...I've heard the XR-1's are quiet, but open up at WOT....but then I've heard they are too loud....anybody have any personal experience with any of these?
The exhaust is Hooker 1 3/4" LT's, dual mandrel bent 3" over axle, no cats, X pipe into muffler, out to 3" tips.

    Thanks!

Just switched to magnaflow from a LM. Sounds nice. LM was too loud with LT kooks headers (even with cats!!!).

Magnaflow is the shit yo! It's a little quiet by itself but LT's can change that as everyone knows.
