Nice job. How long did it take? Are you going to fill in that 'pocket' any?

Does anyone know how important it is to fill in that pocket. Im gonna p&p my TB tommrow and it seems like filling that in would help alot. But alot of people say their is no gains.

I didn't fill the pocket
I didn't fill the pocket. I was more than a bit worried that the epoxy would some out in time. "Basic metallurgy principle"...Nothing except metal will adhere to metal permanently and anything else over time (however long) will work free.

there normally is a gain from porting the TB. what he did was removed a few millimeters of surface area from the inside of the TB to make the opening bigger to allow more air to pass.

Here are some more pictures: I've taken the TB out again to smooth out more the imperfections and polished everything that looked dull.

DID you remember to grind the bumpstop.....and i ve been told that when porting you should leave the metal rough as it atomizes the air better....but wouldnt that be pointless for a fuel injection car since only air is passing.

Red- '02 Camaro SS
What kind of gains were achieved doing this? Was it HP or gas mileage? Do you think you picked up 2, 3, 5, 10HP from doing this or 1-2 MPG? It looks good, but it looks too good for something that can't be seen when it's installed and especially if you don't gain anything.
