    Best Intake Manifold

Trying to figure out what the best intake manifold is to put on my 2000 TA. I have seen where you can get the LS6 intake with provisions for like 450-500 bucks but then there is the intake manifold by FAST that sells for 800-900. I know that the mm size of the FAST intake is larger, but how much does that matter? Also if I got the larger intake manifold would i have to buy a larger MAF?

    Thanks

+1 Wanted to get technical specifics on this as well. Is it the larger the cam, the larger the opening (mm) that's needed? And we know it's all about combination to make everything work at their best potential, sooo.... in the end, if you want power, you want to jam the most air and fuel into a given space and give it spark to combust it and make that power. Without upgrading to a larger cam, what intake/tb setup would you see the most gains out of? Would you need to upgrade the fuel pump and/or injectors as well, to see full potential out of any upgraded intake/tb?

I, myself, plan on eventually going with a cam that's lift is above .600" lift such as an MS4, TRex, or Tsunami

Not trying to just trying to further the questions, to get a little more of a detailed answer, instead of starting a new thread

For the cost, I went with the 90mm LS2 intake, plus had it ported. 90mm FAST TB and a 100mm MAF. The MAF is fun to get tuned...

I just bought a used LS6 0ff a 2002 TA that someone was doing a FAst 90 setup on. Cost me $250. Check the forums for a used one usually can get one for $300 and under. Unless you plan on putting a big cam and some ported heads a LS6 woth a ported TB works great with a bolt on car and I know alot of people who run them with just a cam and a 100 shot.
