Best High Flow Cats???
What is a good high flow cat for my 2000 z28 that wont break the bank. It doesnt need to be a direct fit but that would be preffered. Thanks!

Sebring Silver Metalic- 2002 Camaro Z28
good question. I was searching for the same thing. The best I found seem to average around the 300 for a pair. As far as I could tell that was for cats that would need to be weld in, possibly slip fit (didn't seem them in person). I haven't found anything that I would say doesn't break the bank, well at least not my bank.
I'm with you, can't wait to see if any one has the hook up on this.

I'm just getting some high flows off of ebay.... We need cats in Cali and even though i'll have them, it's still illegal since they're not in the stock location.
It's cheap-o's for me.

yeah, that's more than i want to spend to. I found a pacesetter longtube and tsp y-pipe with cats combo on Texas speeds website for $560 which isn't bad. but the description does not mention that they are hi flow cats. While im sure there better than stock, they probably arnt as good as a nice hi-flow.

^^Yup, gotta be in the original location..that means my Lt's are illegal...(sssshhhhh!)
On ebay, look up high flow catalytic converters. Then look for the 3"ers, If you've got a 3" ORY like most.
These are ones i'm looking at.....but there are 2 others too.

that is a very tempting price! but I don't know if I would be comfortable paying $35 for performance cats. how do we know they work well?

this may seem silly, but did you try your local muffler shops to see what they had?

magnaflow is a bit pricey, but i love the sound of their cat back!

I seen those car sound ones too. Check out the magnaflows too. So what are the best ones then?

There's ways around the system here in cali. Get cats that can get you to pass the sniffer test, like random tech or magnaflow, and find a shop that don't bother with the visual.
Or don't get cats and just find a shop that'll pass you when you fork out a little bit of extra dough.
Or just bolt the stock system back on when you got to do the smog test.
