Best Cold Air Kit??
Im looking at 2 items the 00-02 LS1 SLP "FlowPac" Cold-Air Package and the 98-02 LS1 Trans Am Volant Cold Air Induction. They both claim 20+ hp but the volant claims 40+ pounds of torque! just wanted to get some input before a buy one. I heard the flowpac's bad for water getting in bc it pulls air from behind the fog lights..........
Thanks

I don't believe many have that SLP FlowPac installed. As for the Volant, I used to have it installed but reverted back to stock lid ( Vortech SuperCharger ).
I would just go with aftermarket AirLid myself.

If you want someting more exotic than a lid, look at the K&N FIPK if you can get a good price on it (PM me if you want a tip on where to look). In reality there isn't much of a difference to the wheels but the FIPK looks really cool IMO and has no water related issues. If you plan to add a S/C later you won't want to do the FIPK since you will have to go back to a more stock induction setup like Tman mentioned in post #2 but if you want to stay N/A then it would work famously.

just get a $50 lid off a forum, and be done with it, save your money for more mods.
