    Bellhousing

    Is there an aluminum bellhousing available that allows the LS1 to connect to a muncie or Richmond trans? I was just watching American Hotrod, and they had a Richmond bolted to an LS1 and the bellhousing was Aluminum. I have searched the web but can't find such a beast.

    I have the Lakewood Steel bellhousing, but its damned heavy and I would prefer an aluminum unit if one is available.

    the lakewood may be heavy. but, when the clutch shatters and flies apart, you'll be glad you had it. that's why it's steel. to meet NHRA safety requirements. ask those that have had a clutch explode and slice all the way through the car and out the windshield. some of them still have their legs.

    now, this is a worse case scenario.

    This is for a daily driver that will be lead footed once in a while...so I'm not worried about this worst case scenario.
