    1998 camaro

    BBK intake or ls6 intake

    Im wanting a new intake i like the BBK intake manifold with a 80mm TB would this be better than a ls6 intake manifold??

    Not unless your running boost or big cubes, stick with the ls6 and stock TB, They will carry you up to around 500 hp at the wheels.

    Blue28 has a bbk. If I recall he said it doesn't get as hot as people say unless you turn the car off and let it sit. You could ask him if you are really interested. If you go bbk go with the 85mm

    Never seen that with a ls-6 n/a do you possibly have any links?

    Really I always thought the ls6 and stock tb would be enough for 500 at the crank.

    I have a 1998 z28 6 speed ls1 with longtube headers cat deletes and exhaust, slp lid, 4.11 gears. if i got a ls6 intake manifold and PP TB and frost tune what do you think i would putting to the wheels

    Yes sir, i can dig up some info, i had a few links but i also know first hand, i have the dyno sheets, we ran into some problems with the injectors keeping up but a quick swap and we were in business..

    screw 'em both, get a FAST combo, and be done with it. imo, the ls6 intake is a joke and i would never put a heavier intake that possibly gets heat-soaked back in its place...

    Not really...

    We all know how famous the BBK and Weilden intakes are for heat sink. The LS6 is the least in the group (not counting the fast). Also should he decide to spray, I doubt the FAST would hold up and he will be down $1200.
