anyone running the new Magnaflow cat-back?

I'm looking for pictures, or thoughts on the new magnaflow system (part # 16723). i personally got my T/A with quad tip (from previous owner), and i really like that style. tho, i'm not sure if its a system that isn't as good as the other one (part # 15684)

i have had mine for a couple of weeks now. I like the looks, and the sound is great. I also have an 98 z28 with the older magnaflow, and like it also. I purchased this kit for looks st though.

Same muffler on the 'new' catback??

I am a Magnaflow fan, but those really long slash tips weren't my style.
I stuck with Magnaflow mufflers on my true duals.

tbh, i have no idea. from the pictures on the magnaflow site, it looks like the old one with dual/dual tips. the rest is all the same, and following their "Wide Open" moto.

I still have my factory tips. What would you think about the looks of a camaro for the factory tips or slash or duals/duals?

See...I am a little different. I prefer a single 3.5" slash tip in T/A's rear bumper.

Mine is so boring...no tips, just 3" pipe. I love it for some reason.

Its good that some people are different. To me i like the slash tips and thinking about ture duals but not to sure. How is the performance issue vs catback?

A good true dual set-up is normally worth 15-20RWHP over a y-pipe and catback.

    Not sure.
Heard good things about the Bassani. mrr23 (member here) has it and loves it.
TSP duals are great as well, but they hang low.

It is the same muffler as my old magnaflow kit on my 98 hardtop. I, like you, like the 4 tip setup. It sounds awesome.

What I don't understand is why did the diameter of the tubing go down with the new system? Part #16723 that is the subject of this thread has 2.5 in diameter tubing whereas the 15684 has 3 in diameter tubing. And to answer your question LS1Camaro, yes you can buy just the quad tips. I found a great site that specializes in just Magnaflow. Not the Magnaflow website to all you smartasses....LOL. http://www.planetmagnaflow.com/exhaust.html

I have the older magnaflow with the 3.5" tips on my 02 Ss and love the sound. I have since converted it to the CME and sounds just as good.
