Well before buying it I would do reserch, I just bought a Ls2 engine about to drop it in my ta and right know i'm using a LS6 intake with a 80mm throttle body. Thought about upgrading to a Lsx 92mm intake and getting it poted but short on cash will have to wait.

Ive used that intake before and it worked perfectly fine. But, I wouldnt give that much for it. If youre wanting to upgrade intakes then just slap a LS6 w/ a ported throttle body and call it good. Or if you want a little more power, you can grab a used Fast 90/90 for about the same price as that BBK.

This particular one comes with a Throttle body. I found one of them them for 400$ so I wouldn't pay that much I would definitely get a FAST!!

I'm pretty much set on the BBK since I did some research and gains were typically 5-8 RWHP over the LS6 and it is only around 50$ more. Plus it looks great. I just cant justify shelling out the money for a FAST.

    bingo!

i was in a similar situation as you where i was gunna go with a BBK but for a few hundred more you can double your gains....but then again it depends on what your goals are for the car. IMO the FAST is well worth it

yeah if you plan on spending that much on that then you should throw a few more bucks in and get the FAST LSX 92mm manifold.

The BBK is 400$ without the TB. I am pretty sure I am gonna pull the trigger on one.

If your getting the BBK SSI I would take advantage of the 85mm opening on it and get a 85mm throttlebody, clean it up inside a little, and put blue loctite on the bottom plate bolts.

FYI, I have yet to here of anybody saying that heat soak issues with their BBK SSI has really hurt their track times.

Get what you want, and enjoy!

Yeah I was going to get a TB as well, I also found a thread on LS1tech where the guy tested all of the intakes for the LS1 and the BBK only made 7 less WHP than the FAST. I had a FAST on my old car so I dont want to shell out the 800$ again for one

for sure DO NOT get the profession products intake...that thing was a joke...we tried one and it lost power everywhere. the stock ls1 intake was better than that thing
