    Question Anyone know if DPT Headers are any good?

    I found a deal on some dpt headers for my 98 Z28. I dont wanna buy them if they might be junk. Help please :-)

    I think they are along the lines of the OBX e-bay headers. I've never heard of anyone using them on a LS1.

    Well I hope they aren't like my OBX headers, the driverside header is in the way of the oil drain plug unless you get a shorter bolt like I did or notch the header in the spot where the bolt touches the header.

    if i'm not mistaken they're just another brand of the stainless steel ebay headers. I had them on my z28, as have many other members on here on their f-bodies.. No complaints here, only slight problem is the collecters point a bit more up/down(can't remember which one) than some other brands of longtubes. which can make the install of the y-pipe a bit tricky if you're doing it by yourself, shouldn't be a problem if a shop is doing it for you though. You may also have to massage your firewall a bit so that they aren't touching, but that varies from car to car.

    My OBX's fit great, and look great.

    I am not sure about that other brand OP.

    Maybe, when I switch to TDs I am going to get Kooks or ARH I think.

    Never heard of dpt.
    If your looking for a good deal on headers check out BBK. Excellent fit and finish and easy to install.
