Question Any excess smoke inside of car due to header install?

Plan on getting headers, but I have put it off because I dont want to have smoke fumes coming into the car.do anyone have this problem? Also plan on getting Pacesetters and a catted Ypipe from Thunder Racing. What all will I need to complete the install? What will I see in horsepower gains at the rear wheels? The car is A 99 TA with hooker muffler,Lid,K&N filter, and all of the free mods.

I had this problem because a shop didin't do the install right, had to go out and buy better clamps and it took care of the problem. You'll have to jack the car up very high but you shouldn't have any problems getting them in there with those headers. Parts should be included but doubled check with their rep. Your car will rev quicker and you will loose about .10 in the 1/4 mile. HP gains should be around 15-20

    Why would he go slower?

You shouldn't smell many fumes, especially with a catted y-pipe. I have an ORY and its hardly noticeable. Also, what kind of cat-back are you using?

Too many variables as to how much power you'll make. Just strap it to a dyno and find out. I dont know how much power I gained, but I gained 4 mph after my pacesetters and ory and dropped .3 tenths in the 1/4. I ran a pretty consistent 14.6@97 before and after I ran consistent 14.3s@101.

Before anyone asks, I know my times are slow. But what do you expect racing in Colorado with an average DA of 8000+ft.
