    Another question about exhaust!

I'm about to install a Magnaflow cat back system this Friday. I plan to eventually do Pacesetter LT and an ORY. I have a '00 SS so mine has the EGR. I've seen pics of guys who have removed the EGR during an exhaust upgrade. In idiot terms, what do I need to know about not putting the EGR and the AIR fittings back on? And how soon will I need a tune after the LT and ORY install and the EGR and AIR removal? Sorry for asking again, I'm sure it's probably already been asked, but some of us are "simple minded".
Sure I read the paragraph below, but I still need pointed in the right direction.

    RACE STYLE vs. NON-RACESTYLE:
This subject pertains to you emission fittings. 98-00 Have EGR and AIR fittings and 01-02 just have air fittings. Race style has none of them. If you don’t plan on putting your EGR or AIR back on, then race style is the way to go. Looks much cleaner or you could get the headers with the emission fittings, get a block off kit and still remove the emission components.

I started my LTs and ORY today. I believe from what i have seen, after all is back together it will throw codes right away needing some kind of tune or atleast for the codes to be deleted.

You will throw codes because you're cat's will be deleted along with the rear O2 sensors. I got mine tuned out, but you shouldn't have any driveability issues. It's basically getting rid of the annoying check engine light. I put on race style pacesetters. If you do this you need to plug the hole in the intake. I used a part from Autozone. I can't remeber what part it was, but it has a rubber boot on the outside of it and when you tighten it down it gets larger and seals the hole.
1998 Camaro Z28 1LE: TR Cam (plus normal cam install upgrades), Ceramic coated Pacesetter Headers, ORY, SLP Loudmouth (SOOOO Loud), B&M shifter, Lid, All free mods, Tubular Panhard, LS7 Clutch

1978 Firebird: Chevy 350, 4 bolt to many mods to list
