porting-maf,tb,intake,heads- what exactly does it do. decrease surface interference? provide free-er flow??
does it really need to be done on brand new parts??

Porting/polishing is always a good thing even on alot of new parts. I actually just read a thread with a FAST intake that was ported, this is a brand new after market intake that is getting ported. There is always room for improvement on most parts. If you've ever seen a new intake or heads there is usually alot of material built up inside the port that affect the air/fuel flow in a bad way. The tb is mostly ported to make it bigger alowing more air in. There usually pretty smooth but you can make the smoother by porting polishing.05 PBM GTOCold Air Inductions CAI,Relocated IAT with omega,Slp Predator tune,Flowmaster axle back with H pipe,Custom tuned TCM.BC Racing coil overs
