    air lid inlet

Was wondering if this is the difference between ram air and non ram air trans am/camaro. The intake inlet is a lot bigger on the red car.

The OP may be asking what the performance difference is. Best answer is that the difference is probably negligible -- I do not specifically recall, but think the literature had maybe a 5 hp difference.

The raised Airbox is a WS6 specific part and has no real advantage.
This stuff has been gone over hundreds of times, Ram Air was a marketing gimmick to sell more high end cars. The Factory hood has baffles to keep water out and these defeat the purpose of the system. BTW even if you seal the hood to the Airbox and remove the baffles you're likely to only see approx 3 HP at 100+ mph.

The real truth is all LS1's make approx 345-350 HP no matter what car they were originally installed in.

You'll see a difference when the baffles are removed from the nostrils with the bigger inlet. More air is still more air. I've done things one at a time and I can feel the differences. You can feel the car pull a bit more once youve done the free ram air mod, the baffle removal, and the foam around the hood opening.

    air lid inlet

All you have to do it copy and paste the url.
You risk water with any of the kits, I didnt feel a difference with the ram air kit if that is what you are looking for.
