silver- 2000 formula
air intake kit for 98-02 F-body
I need some advice. i have a 2000 formula, it is stock except for flowmaster exhaust. i am looking for a air intake kit. is SLP my best option for this?? will i be able to see a difference?

Yeah, slp will be good for ya. I was running 8.7 in a 1/8th put the lid on and got it to 8.5 and my car was bone stock and on street tires. It was a 2001 WS6. But, I think good investment for the money by far.

check out a TSP lid. and K&N filter.... and maybe an SSRA!

the SLP cold air intake kit that goes from in front the radiator is installed in 3-4 hours, and saves you $800 since you don't need a ram air hood,. i have it it will add 5-6rwhp, then the SLP lid and K&N filter, but you need the SLP smooth bellow to go with the lid so that u get rid of the accordion tubing, the smooth bellow will add 2-3rwhp for the $40.. it's all worth it.

on the SLP cai u have to cut 2 small squares from the plastic bottom of the air intake case... then you position the cold air intake unit in front of the radiator, drill 2 holes and on the base to hold it in place put the filter and lid... no more than 3-4 hours.. gotto have some power tool to cut the 2 squares out, or u can do it with a saw but it takes more time,,,

I had the SLP CAI on my SS and it made a big difference I never had the car on a dyno so i dont know the exact gains. It doesnt take too long to install.
