    air/egr help

I just got a great deal on hooker super comp. headers for $70!!!!!! Now they are for 00-02, and I have a 98. With that said any info as to where I can get the 00-02 air/egr lines? Do I need them or can I get my 98 line to reach? I want to keep all the egr/air hookups for now so I dont want to take it out. Thanks in advance. heres a pic. of ones just like them....http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/lsx-pa...-ory-pipe.html

Please tell me your not buying headers looking like that! The EGR tubing is in the right places based on what I see in the pic you posted.

EGR went away on the 01-02 cars. With that said I believe there are no changes in how the EGR was designed for 98-00 cars. They should hook right up.

Also are you keeping the EGR/Air Pump because of State emissions?

yes I am keeping for emmission reasons (new york). Also those are not the headers I bought but the same design. I am at work so all I could find for a pic. Just looked at it quick and seemed like on stock the air/egr hook up on drivers side was on primary 2 and hooker was on 1

If they are coming off a 98-02 T/A or Camaro they will have the same design. Only so many ways you can make a header in our tight engine bay.

Take the AIR system out. That pump is only on for the first two minutes your car is running anyway. The air system is to help with the emissions on cold starts and then it shuts off.I never had emission trouble when I lived in New York.I have friends up there that run straight pipes now on their cars and have no issues.

Also if you only disconnect the Air Pump instead of removing it completely out you need to removed the fuse other wise it keeps coming on.
