air breather filter question?????
are you supposed to soak it w supplied red oil?
and has anybody removed the end pce of air line that connects to lid to make it a lil shorter?
and now im hearing a winding sound (suction) that i never heard before on and off while im driving. is that normal?

NO, don't soak your filter in ANYTHING. Bad idea.
And that suction sound is the car taking in more air. Its a good thing. A little noise never hurt anyone.

The old lid used to hide the air pump sound cycle on and off, now the sound is right out there.

I never used Livernois yet but my neighbor had his 71' mach1 heads done by them. He was not happy with the time it took compared to what was promised but the work when finished seemed top notch. I have the SLP cat-back, SLP maf, smooth bellows, ngk plugs, msd wires, mti lid w/ k&n, and most of the free mods done to the SS. is coming again
