Aftermarket maf sensors
Has anyone intalled a granatelli maf on an ls1? I just can't belive they could add between 10-25 rwhp. Even if they did they wouldn't be worth $350 but they make them in my town so I could get one for less just wanted to know how they turned out. thanks

Do a search for "GMAF" without the quotes, there was a huge thread on this.

blacker than wesleysnipes- 98' trans am
real simple. dont waste money on mafs untill you start pushing 500+...stock can handle up to 500hp...alot of people run into trouble with aftermarket mafs.

i had a Z06 maf calibrated for mine, and picked up a few hp. I have heard bad things about the SLP and Granatelli maf's

I had a Granatelli MAF on my 94 LT1 Z28, it made my car run so rich it turned the back of the car black. I also had a pcmforless tune and when I talked to them they told me to scrap the aftermarket MAF and put on a stock one. I bought a new GM MAF and the car ran great and picked .2 sec in the process. My experience may not be typical and it was not on an LS1, but it was kind of an expensive lesson learned. Just my .02. Good luck.

PEWTER- 2000 CAMARO SS #3821
I have the SLP for my LS1 but I did not ask the question before buying. As you can see from all the responses it is probably not worth it. No huge gains are believable but mine is still on the car and until I get a tune I won't know if the thing is making it rich or lean.

I have a Granatelli MAF on my 94 Z. I don't have any problems with it. But I changed everything at once with my intake. K&N FIPK II, Grantelli MAF, 1LE Elbow, and air foil all at the same time, so I couldn't tell you if it made a difference.

put a ZO6 on my car. Then you can relocate the IAT too...

I had a GMAF on my 01 years ago. It was a pos! Made my car misfire real bad in wet weather.
