not to sure but just getting a lid even from slp will suffice. Just make sure you get a good air filter, look up amsoil air filter they are paper but offer great protection and still good flow.

AEM is one hell of a brand man. Not ricer IMO. I dare to say $100 for it isn't a bad deal considering the K&N CAI is more than that.

CAI's in general are an easy installation. Not saying some aren't a pita though. Only one way to lean and that's by doing!

just make sure you have all the pieces to it. I know on my 04 the K&N I had on it took a special grommet for the fender......when I sold it I had to find that grommet and looked everywhere before giving K&N a call and they sent me one free. Not sure what the AEM's cost new but I would imagine $100 is a pretty good deal. The problem you run into with the GTO's is where it pulls air from.....really no spot in the stock location to get cold air so the intakes do almost nothing for the car performance wise. There's someone ( I forget the name offhand) that makes an over the radiator intake that actually draws cool air from in front of the radiator...definitely the way I'd go if I was doing it again.

not the DMS....I did one on my brothers 06. Way to expensive for what it is. Someone started doing a much cheaper version.
here's the write up from my brothers:
