2002 ws6 headers
Does anyone make headers that are 1) easy to install 2)bypass the cats 3) bolt up to the stock Y pipe?

1 - Shorties and mid length are slightly less difficult then LT's
2 - No, only LT's do so.
3 - Only shorties will hook up to CATs and Y pipe.
Go ahead and join the dark side. Come to the LT headers and never look back. TS&P and Pacesetter are pretty much not to hard to install. I did mine in my garage. Only had a friend hold the drivers side while I installed 2 bolts. The Offroad Y pipe from TS&P will work with Pacesetter as well as their headers. There are a few brands that in order to install you may have to pull the engine mount bolt and lift the engine on that side (namely the drivers side) to get it in. I did not have to with my 1 7/8" Pacesetters.http://www.ls1.com/forums/f7/my-6-liter-build-174257/

I pick TSP over Pacesetters. I had Pacesetters but my issue with them is the flanges started leaking at the welds. I run TSP stainless steel 1 7/8" headers and the only thing I had to do was notch my K member to clear but that wasn't hard to do but no leaks. The 1 3/4" TSP's you won't have to notch as I installed a couple of those on other people's cars

Our Kooks headers were absolute works of art and installed pretty easily. I only had to nip a small body flange with my die grinder to get the driver side up in place. I do recommend Stage 8 locking stainless header bolts and DEI heat sleeves for your plug wires while you are at it.

TS&P took their design or shall I say looks a lot like Pacesetter's back when I got mine. Fitment was not issue. Never had to notch or use BFH to massage the headers in.

I just wish I could have a header/y pipe system that was more flush with the body. I can see my Kooks catted y’s, hanging well below the rockers from about 50 ft away.
