200 amp AD244 alt install in pics

I have already installed a AD244 145amp alt from the junkyard.....it fits just great and the added durabilty from the extra amps was nice......I had originally wanted a higher amped alt but did not have the funds at the time........well i finally got it......a 200 amp AD244.......this thing is BRAND NEW.......heavy duty copper heat sinked 70 amp rectifier.....heatsinked voltage regulator....higher amped stator.......its a frekin piece of art.......its a little wider than the other AD244 so i had to tweak the PS return line .......the pulley is wider too so I had to get a 80 inch belt as the stocker is 79 inches.....but the proof in the pudding is that the car has sucked up the extra amps like a baby on a tit......and goes to sleep smiling

oh....i aready had the big 3 installed .......so that is a must have also

move the high side PS line a hair .......other than that its a great fit

nice job. yes i watched alternatorman. How much he charge you for it? I have been looking around for a brand new AD244 but they want close to $180 for the 130 amp. Why did you change it?

i will never know when that junkyard alt would give out on me......did not want to be stranded.....need the extra amps for a future killer stereo build.....its nice that its a totally new unit instead of a crappy rebuild
