1998 fuel line

I have just finished installing a LS1 from a 1998 Z28 in my 1996 convertible.

After driving it for a short distance the plastic line on the fuel pump, inside the tank, ruptured.
I have since found out that the 98 LS1 doesn't have a return line coming off the fuel rail but rather a "T" in the fuel line just in front of the fuel filter.
I went to the local dealership and found out that the line and parts are no longer available.

I need to figure out how and what to use to make the "t" so as to relieve the back pressure in the the fuel line
Anyone have a recommendation?

Where you need to make a t is the fuel line plastic or metal?

it is the steel line just in front of the fuel filter, where the line come out of the frame

Go get some good quality hose clamps and high pressure fuel line. I remember sarge doing something like this on his goat. Autozone should be your friend
