    180 thermostat?

I recently had my car tuned it still has the stock thermostat in it and they set it up so the fans would activate at an early temp. (can't think of the temp maybe at 180) My question is it worth putting in the 180 thermostat or just having the fans activating at this earlier temp.? I must also mention that its rather annoying to pretty much have the fans on all the time.

You should already have a 180 tstat in there, my owners manual says that's what mine came with. My fans are set pretty low (184/175 and 194/185) and don't run all the time in our winter - does when the temps warm up though. Ask the tuner what they set them at, if you're not happy with it tell them to change the settings.

I was told it had a 195 thermostat in it stock must have been misinformed. Well guess I just gotta find out what they set the activation temp at. Don't drive the car in the winter snow and salt is a bad mixture up here.

I know what winters are like up there, I grew up in Chicago. Just didn't want you to to buy a 180 if there's one already in the car. If I remember correctly my stock one was stamped on the inside at either 83 or 86 degrees C.

I had one laying around in the box from a friend. Thanks for your input.
