12 bolt?

Hey again! i have another question. i've been seeing alot of talk about 12 bolt read ends and such while looking for a new trans am. just what exactly does it do and how much does it effect the car itself?

it is a replacement for the Stock 10 bolts on the cars, it has a lot better holding power and its very strong and very hard to break. but the stock 10 bolts are very weak, and sometimes break under stock power

what do the bolts are they bolted to or whatever? i dont know much about it at all

its a bigger rear end in general, on the stock 10 bolts there is 10 bolts, and on the 12 bolt there are 12 bolts hence the name 10 bolt or 12 bolt.
