$350 LS6 intake or A $200 LS1 Lingenfelter Intake
i have been skeptical about buying an LS6 intake, i think they are still overpriced, i can get an LS1 Lingenfelter intake for $200 and i was wanting to know which is the better buy?

You will see similar gains from both. The advantage of the Lingenfelter / Holley manifold is that it is aluminum, which is better for spray and boost. If not going that route there is really no advantage to the Lin./Holley manifold.
And shop around for a LS6, you can find them as low as $300. I got mine on ebay for $300 new w/ coolant lines & shipping included. And they aren't overpriced IMO - once you put that sucker on you will instantly feel the difference. Of the few mods i've done so far the LS6 manifold was the only one that i actually could say i felt a SOTP difference.

The LS6 intake looks like a steal when you start pricing the FAST 90/90 setups,,,,,LOL. You can buy 3 LS6 intakes for what the FAST will set you back. I think that is why the LS6 intakes are (and will continue) to fetch decent coin.
Just grab an LS6 intake, I don't think the prices will come down any lower unless the FAST setups start getting cheaper,,,,and I don't see that happening.

I read in Chevy High Performance that the Holley maniflold performed worst compared to a LS6 intake and a Truck intake. but the Holley one has the ability to be ported
but I would also think the aluminum would hold heat in worse than a LS6 would

why exactly does the ls6 intake produce more horsepower, compared to the ls1 intake. I just put one on my 2000 trans am and noticed a difference. Where did you guys notice a difference? Top end, launches, etc.....?
2000 Arctic White trans am, ws6 hood, ws6 air box, slp lid, slp smooth bellows, slp loudmouth exhaust, shift kit, rebuilt trans, LS6 intake, 3.73 gears, Shaner S3 p/p throttle body, and a tune . SFC. C6 ZO6 rims 18" in back 17" in front. Drilled and slotted rotors.

I gotta say that I feel mine most during launches, but it also pulls better; it's definately a SOTP improvement.

It's dyno proven to increase power in all RPM's. Average gains r 11-15 rwhp over LS1, depending on what other mods you have done. LS6 out performs LS2 manifold after 5000 RPM's, but the LS2 manifold will start you off with more low end grunt.

ls6 intake is worth the extra $150.00. we dyno'd a car with a LPE ls1 intake on it and run after run it would lose about 3rwhp and this was with only about 5-10minutes of down time inbetween runs. never had that happen on a car with a composite intake on it...in fact it will usually gain HP with every pull.
