texas speed makes some good stuff.
if u got the money slp makes kits that build good power... but their overpriced in my opinion
it depends on how extreme u want to go
if i had a vett id do a texas speed cam, ceramic coated headers (most any good brand will be adequate), remove cats, borla exhaust, and wet nitrous kit (100-200shot) and find someone to do a dyno tune.

AFR heads, comp cam, LG headers and X-pipe, no cats, Crosa Pace exhaust, Fast intake, and a good tune. That will put you in the 450rwhp range.

Mods: Umm.. there are a few things on it that are still stock.

Probably not. I dont know that for a fact. You would need to look into it more. I dont have emissions tests in Florida. You will probably have to put cats on there. With Random Tech. high flow cats, you will still end up close to the same hp. No cats is more for sound than anything else.

I know that in Ohio I could not pass without my cats...I tried...
I saw no improvement in the 1/4 mile without my cats...sounds alot better when you hammer it though, this is with my Corsa Pace Car system.

If you haven't done anything yet and want a quick 10 to 15 hp that's free...take the clam shell air filter lid off then use two large zip ties to wrap around the base and the filter to keep it in place.
This was the first thing I did temporarly at the track and it was good for a solid 1/10th of a second... I have since put twin K&N's on it but no hp improvement was gained over the zip tie method, the K&N's just look better.
