GM is really stepping up to the plate. If they keep the price around $100K, there are going to be some European car-makers in for a rude surprise...

GM is keeping it around $100k but the dealers wont. After dealer markup it will probably be around $125k. But still even at that price it will be one of the fastest factory cars out there.

Yeah slap drag radials on that car its a mid 10 second car with a good driver. Imagine if you put a pulley exhaust and a tune, that thing could pick up like the cobras and be a low 10 maybe high 9 second car.

lol Let Ranger from the Corvette Forum drag race it and he will get a better time than that. He has already gotten his bone stock C6 Z06 with just drag radials at 10.85 in the 1/4.

Man thanks for thoz cool pix...I have been following the "BlueDevil" project since its inception...these pix really are the icing on the cake. Still can't believe GM is actually doing this project....but I am surely happy about it. I get so tired of danged 500cu in Viper dudes acting cocky...I mean..it's a "truck" motor, torque, no rpm, big and heavy. Can't wait for the early performance testing on the "super Vette"...

Power for this beast will come from GM's new LS9 motor. The LS9 is a 6.2-litre, supercharged, small-block V8. This powerplant will put out anywhere between 600-650 horsepower. The supercharged V8 will utilize an integrated intake manifold intercooler and is expected to run a 0-60 in under 3.5 seconds.

Beautiful car and love the fact that GM is going it. I kind of hate the fact that it's such a sleeper, I mean really if i'm going to spent TWICE the money for a normal vette, why not make it look more special too.. It really takes a car guy to know the current Z06 from a regular vette.

It does? The front bumper and 1/4 panels easily give it away.

If they take the time to slow down and look for badges or see the opening in the front it's easy, I can spot one from quite a distance away if i can see the front. Your average person has no idea what the Z06 badge means anyway.

I am just saying for the price I want a "hey i'm driving a super car" look that's different than the standard Vette, which is absolutely beautiful too. However i can see it helping GM sell a Lot more of the cheaper vets having the looks identical.
