Need some help, purchasing c6....
Hello All its been awhile,
After selling both my 01 Ws6 and 02 , I'm looking into purchasing a c6......
What tips can you give me as to look out for when testing the car? Or any red flags?
I appreciate any advice and it will be an m6 c62001 TRANS AM WS6 M6 . LS1. SLP LTs,SLP cats,SLP catback,SLP Lid,K&N filter, MSD Wires, AC Delco Iridium plugs, Redline Oils and Fluids, Ws6 Store Short Stick, Hotchkis strut tower brace

Check the inside edge of those tires. I thought mine had new tires on it only to find out they were bald on the extreme inside edges and only had maybe 2-3K miles left before they would have blown.

A close friend had two C6's recently - both seemed pretty much perfect and he had zero issues in stock configuration that I am aware of. Once he boosted the second C6, on his first pass at the track the alternator pulley blew off and he dropped the belt. GM had an issue with this - something to do with how fast the engine revs up and down, especially in boosted applications, that causes the pulley to come loose. The replacement alternator designed to address this issue appeared to have a partial clutch setup which allowed it to slip a bit.
