Jetstream Blue- 2008 Corvette Z06
Modifying Stock Seats for support and comfort
I'm hoping to get some ideas from your great collection of knowledge. I have owned a 2008 Z06 for a little over three months. I got the 2LZ package (maybe the 3LZ package has better seats?). There did not seem to be a "Sport Seat" option like I was able to get on my 2002 Convertible. Bottom line, the seats lack support for the lower back and the stock bolsters lack support for even moderately quick cornering (like .8 Gs on the HUD). Has anyone successfully modified their stock seats? As I looked into aftermarket seats there are issues with the built in side airbags and the heated seats...not like the old days where we took of the stock carb and added the larger double-pumper!
