I Just Bought A 1998 Arctic White Corvette

Hello Everybody!

I Just Purchased My 4th Corvette A Beautiful 1998 White C5 With Only 6,000 Miles, And I Have The Most Irritating Chirping Noise Under The Hood,i Have Replaced Both Belts And The Upper Belt Tensioner Pulley And The Chirp Is There, And Suggestions For All You Corvette Pro's ?? Please Help

Congrats! Try and isolate the problem. Remove one of the belts and see if the problemgoes away. It could be your tensioner, or even power steering, or maybe your ac compressor. Good luck.

My 2000 A4 had a clutch type alternator that had to be replaced. It started as a chirp that turned into loud belt noise. I hope this helps, it needs to be ruled out. Paul

I have the same problem it's been going on for 3 weeks and have not droven my car, but if you figure it out let me know? I cheked everything out already.

4 corvs at the same time, or trade-in?

I'm going for a Firebird Collection pertaining to a 1972 455, 2003 special, my 2000, Maybe a 2002, and something else maybe... also have a 1991, but it's not that great of condition.... needs a new tranny...

I might get a Corv sometime to toy around, but I've been hooked to the bird since I was 2 years old.

I fixed the problem but first to have to fine it. Get a hose and search for the noise once you think you found it use a little bit of WD-40 and if the noise stopes you might have to replace the part that stoped makeing noise.
