    Head Swap

    You guys are going to think I am nuts but here goes.
    I've got a 2007 C6 and have been reading where the GM L92 truck heads are much better than the stock LS2 heads.
    I also own a 2008 Vortec Max Chevy truck rated at 360-370 HP. (don't remember exact #'s)
    I wouldn't think about a swap now as it would void both warranties but once they are out of warranty I might consider swapping the truck heads to the vette if they are indeed the L92's and purchasing a FAST intake or LS3 to match the heads.
    My questions is do you guys think this is worth pursuing or should I just go ahead and spring for the price of a separate set of heads and intake for the Vette?

    You're right, I think you're nuts.
    Seriously though for the trouble involved, what type of HP gain would you be looking at?
    Including the FAST intake of course.
    In my humble opinion, I would leave the heads on the truck, and purchase a REAL kick ass set of heads for the Vette!

    Yeah you're probably right.
    I'm looking for an article I read in a Chevy High Perormance where they got 140 HP from the Heads, a cam and a stock GM Holden intake. $1500 spent.
    Think I'll leave the truck alone.
    Any suggestion on the Heads?

    Patriot makes a great set of Heads, that's a place to start.

    Pretty interesting stuff and you can get the bare heads for cheap.
    I understand the stock valves and springs don't hold up well under high lift cams.
    Better to opt for bare castings and rig them up with new valves and springs.
