okay so your entire sending unit is out right? and your just trying to change the actual pump... well I know of several horror stories of people doing this on their own so I take my stuff to a shop that rebuilds radiators and fuel pumps here in new york you could probly do it, just in my opinion I wouldnt try it

I Havent Had The Pleasure Of Doing Any Fuel Pump Work To The Vette Yet But On My Others The Pump Needed To Be Soldered In And There Is No Real Way Of Identifying Which Wire Goes Where And Truth Be Told Something Goes Wrong You Dont Want 12 Or 14 Volts Going Through Your Tank.

Its kinda impossible to screw up cuz it only caries a pos and neg wire thats it it just has a red and black one that you need to wire up so you get the pic...
