fitment issues with FAST intakes on C5?

Has anyone had issues with their FAST intake hitting or rubbing up against the firewall on their C5? Haven't installed mine yet because they didn't iclude the valley bolts but when I set it in the valley it was hitting the firewall on the top rear of the intake. Maybe when its seated all the way down properly it won't it just doesn't look very promising though.

If anyone is considering one of these intakes for their vette it does fit but its pretty close. Must have the special valley bolts that should be provided with it or it will not go on. Pretty bad ass intake but I am dissapointed in how the map sensor fits loosely in it, I had to use some rtv to get it to fit in snug. Also no clip to snap it in, and the small vacum line that enters the rear of the intake is not long enough to reach the new provision on the fast intake so you have to get a longer one and a little rubber boot to lengthen it to reach. I stole a vacum line off an old ass mercedes to make it work.

Yeah for the kind of money they charge you'd think they'd have this all worked out.
    But they don't

welcome to the world of aftermarket performance

In fact your lucky you even recieved the intake in the first place.

Some people don't even get that far

My advice is find a reputable tuner and buy all your parts through him

even if your going to do all the installs yourself and just have him tune it
