C5 stock sway bars vs. C5 Z06 stock sway bars?

Is there a difference between the two? If so is $250 worth it to upgrade to the C5 Z06 sway bars over the factory C5 ones? Buddy of mine is wanting to sell me his Z06 ones cuz hes upgrading to some pfadt racing ones.

I know that Z06's had different springs (same fronts as the z-51 if i remember correctly)... as far as sway bars... I know they had different endlinks than the normal vettes, but i dont THINK they had different sway bars... But i actually might be thinking they dont have different sway bars than Z51 vettes... or i might be completly wrong...

Yes, they are a worthwhile upgrade. I went with some Hotchkis bars. It all depends on what you plan on doing with the car. Good luck.

I've seen the C6 Z06 sway bars with end links for $225 and they're suppose to be an upgrade over the C5 Z06.

where did you see them, my buddy is wanting to sell me the used ones off his z06 for $250 hes getting the pfadt adjustables that cost about $900!, also was looking at the hotchkis ones, how are those over the z06, they claim they are even better than the z06 sway bars.

The car will see a little of everything. I am going to run the nurnburg ring also hochenhiem track and some drag racing this season. It also gets driven on the autobahn frequently at speeds between 100-170mph, goal is to get to 200mph+, don't know if that will be possible though as she sits now.

Saw them on the Corvette forum. There are a couple of vendors selling them around that price. I don't have a clue how they all compare. Right now I have an '04 Z06 and I'm fine with the bars that came on it.

    Base C5 & C6 are 23mm Fr & 19 mm Rr
    C5 ZO6 are 30mm Fr & 23.6mm Rr
    Thats the run down.

I know my stock C5 leans WAY more than my Z/28. I never really looked up the sizes until I read your question. I would say yes, DO IT !

I replaced my base model sway bars & springs with Z06 sways and springs and what a diference!!! Highly recommend it...car stays flat thru corners and no more "floating"...
I have just replaced my Z06 sways with Pfadt sway bars
(1 of my winter mods) and can't wait for the spring weather....
