C5 IRS druability question....
I dont have much experience with IRS, I have raced a few of my mustangs before and had 0 issues with slicks, I know for the gm 10 bolts its a different story. I have also seen my fair share of IRS cobras destroy there rear ends cuz they suck ass when you start hooking, so what about the vettes? I was going to get some M/T et streets for it and try it out at the track when its done, bad idea?
I posted this same thread in the drivetrain section but figured more vette guys would see it in the corvette section..... thanks

Jet Stream Blue- 2009 Lingenfelter ZR1
Stock power and a little more you will be ok, but anything over 450 ft. lbs. and hooking will cause problems on the stock output shaft. Look at getting a aftermarket output shaft if you really plan on abusing it. Good luck

The output shaft on the trans or the input shaft on the IRS? I've never beern around an IRS yet. Or is the shaft on the IRS called the output shaft?
