69 Vette - LS ???? Under Construction....

Hey guys...it has been a long time since I have been on the board. Working on a new project.

I know it isn't technically an LS motor...but am busy wrapping up the works on an 8.1 swap using an LS dbw style 0411 PCM...mated to a Richmond 6...and a few other goodies all packed into a 69 Vette.

Electronically, it shares almost everything with any other DBW LS combo...

It is a 2007 medium duty 496 cube (8.1) motor. It has the same firing order as a LS, with coil over plug and sequential fire on a 24x reluctor. We stuffed a comp HR270 cam and a set of magnum roller tip rockers to give it some bump along with tuning, cold air intake...and hooker sidepipes.

So, let the fun begin.

Still waiting on the headers, and having some dbw throttle issues. I am using a newer throttle body than what the harness supports. Working on getting an older one...then all will be well.

Hopefully...when it is all said and done it will look much like my old 69.

Wow, that's just too cool. I've always been a fan of the C3's I restored my dad's 71 convertable when I was in High School. I get itchy just thinking about the fiberglass...
