WS6 Vs Challenger?

My brother bought a new 08 Challenger R/T. It is stock, He plans on us racing in the summer. I was wondering if anyone had some predicitons about the race?

2008 Challenger R/T Automatic
VS
1999 Trans Am WS6 LS6 H/C/I Pacesetter headers Corsa Exhaust

The big difference in the two cars is weight, the Challengers are heavier then your WS6

The Challenger's run a 13.2 ET out of the factory where your well moded WS6 should be well in to the 12s with your mods, pending traction I'd say 12.4ish

A 2008 challenger would be lucky to run 13.7 in the quarter. My brother-in-law has one, its a real pig. Takes awhile for it to get started. Gears are like a 3:06.

The E/T nubmer I got was from Car and Driver and who knows how "stock" the Challenger they got from Dodge was?

R/T is Rated 375 hp at crank. 5-speed auto 333hp 368tq RWHP Dynod. Another Auto R/T RWHP: 334.5 RWTQ: 352.4 Dynoed

Edmunds Tested R/T at 14.1 in 1/4th
0-60-mph run of 5.9 seconds
4,041 pounds Stock LS1 would woop that.

Wait. So your buddy's car is an R/T? NOT THE SRT8?

Shouldn't be much of a race then. The R/T Hemis are running low 14's.

A stock WS6 would beat one.
