Do you happen to have a 3 point STB in your engine bay?

STB is strut tower brace. If you have a 3 point one, it would be connected under the cowl. There have been a lot of people with Camaro's and Trans Ams that have had the 3 point STB crack their windshields.

Yeah i got hit with a 60 in a 40 out on RT13 the other day... The window should only be cracked for a few reasons:

    1. It is too stiff when it needs to flex.

    2. It flexes to much.

    3. Stuff hitting the window.

Also may be because of the heat/cold we have been having but i dont know if that would effect the window.

i had the car out briefly on saturday ..the day before easter.. and there was no crack.
no one drove the car all day easter sunday, until that evening ... my husband noticed it when he pulled it into the garage. its already about 8 inches long.. and it goes from the bottom of the window right between the two wipers.. it comes up and to the left.. and to the right.. grrrrrr... i hate the thought of gettin another windshield.. but i want to know if there is something preventive if its a stress crack.. so that it doesnt happen again.

I would take it to a glass place and ask them what they think the cause may be. It cant hurt to get a professionals opinion.

There is a glass place on rt13 right by the new walmart. The name of the shop is Matt's Glass. That is the only glass specialty shop i know of in the area off the top of my head.
