I have a 98 Trans Am. Does anyone have experience with this?. I now need to replace mine and despite it seeming to be a simple job, there is little space to get your hand on it to pull it out. I'm not sure if the bracket above it needs to be removed or if there is a trick to getting the pump out without removing the bracket. Any suggestions from someone with experience will be most appreciated!!

Hmmm. I am familiar with the reservoir but not the pump setup.

I figured it out. If you can get your hand on the pump, simply pull it straight up and it releases from the reservoir. Swap the electrical and hose onto the new pump and push it down into the reservoir.

Good to know. Of course, my reservoir is completely empty to reduce weight on the front end.

Yeah, maybe someone in the future may need to know. The Internets is totally devoid of this information. As it turned out, there's an issue with the hose and I'm just not up to getting the old hose out of that jungle. I guess I'll keep doing without a windshield washer.

Now I am going to have to pop the hood on our car and check out the pump mounting and hose routing. You have me curious.
