dont quote me on this but i believe if u get the 2001 that you wont have to deal with the EGR and you'll have the LS6 intake.....and u'll have the WS6 which is kickass so me personally i would get that

I'd make sure the headlights go up and down cleanly, repeatedly. That'll help make sure there are no stripped gears in the headlight motor.

Exhaust Gas Recirculation...something like that, it's a emissions deal to burn more unburned gas vapors out of the exhaust.

Listen for any unusual sounds when driving the cars or at idle....grinding or howling from the rear-end is bad...squeaks/rattles are more annoying than harmful...major valvetrain noise...etc

Piston slap is basically a loud metal slapping sound when the motor is cold... it's due to GM's great building tolerances. One or more of the pistons doesn't quite fit the cylinder the way it should...so it slaps around while the motor is cold. Metal expands when hot and poof...piston fits better and noise is gone. My Z has a slight case of it from the #7 piston...I warm the car up before driving anyway so it's not a big deal to me.

The T-56(manual tranny) is a strong SOB...so odds are it'll be in good shape with low milage. The weak 10-bolt rear-ends are crap and go out all the time...even more so with a stick.

Do a search here and you'll find the differences between the 98-02 f-bods...

    thank you so much man..

2001 ws6 and 2000 ws6s insurance costs are the same?

l mean lets assume a guy has 2 T/A one 00 ws6 another 01 ws6.. the in surance would cost him the same? or 01 would cost more?

Insurance wise it should be the same...either way i'd get a quote from your insurance company before you buy the car...you might be surprised how high your premium is.
