Why am i burning so much gas?
I have a 1999 camaro SS with a 05 LS6 (ZO6) motor WITH mods with about 400 RWHP and i figured i'm only getting about 13-14 miles per gallon, and with a full tank i only get between 150 and 165 miles to a tank, no engine light is on, what could be the problem, please help? GAS NOT CHEAP!!!!!!

i was gonna say something like maybe a bad/clogged cat, but then ur 02 sensors would throw codes, right?
what type of exhaust do u have

hm... dumb suggestion, but change all ur filters and spark plugs. change all the fluids and what not... inflate tires a little bit, take out some extra weight if u have some.
is it a vert or ttop? im not sure about this, but id assume that a car with tops down would have more wind resistance (moreso on a ttop car) due to wind entering behind the windshield and getting trapped by ur backseat if u know what i mean. idk if itd make a big difference or not, just something i thought about
all of those things combined id say could get u a couple mpg better(theoretically...)
if all this doesnt work, get a tune.

Cruising at 80mph
Cruising at 80 is going to chew up gas no matter how many rpm's your spinnin'. try crusin' at like 70mph and see if that helps. I would also recomend changing all filters and plugs. your fuel filter could be clogged causing you to consume more gas to ignite in the combustion chamber.

If the engine light came on one day and stayed on for about a week and the code read bank one O2 senser and then the light went off could it still be a bad O2 senser?

Slow down to 65-70, realize that exercising your right foot is bad for mileage. Slow and steady is boring but good for mileage. Try visualizing a egg sitting between your foot and the accelerator pedal. It helps to practice this and think about it.
I didn't know the automatics got 80 mph at 1900 rpm (?). My 6 speed does that in 6th gear, I didn't think the autos did that too.

Don't be sorry. It's not the convertor. Count your rear end gear ratio.

If you have anything in there besides 3.23's stock then your SS isn't a real SS...unless the previous owner did a swap. Hell even 2.73's wouldn't run 1900rpms at 80..
Did you have any work done to your tranny...or even put in a new one? Because my truck has the 4l60-e(geared different) and 3.73's...going 70 it's only around 1600-1700ish rpms.
