    Whining

There is a small whinng in my motor that rises with rpm's. It sounds like an old powersteering pump. My p/s pump works fine and has a good fluid level. Any ideas of what it could be and how serious it could be would be appriciated.

True and unicorns are the same as 2 horses cause they are magical.

If it changes with RPMs I'd look at the alternator, pulley tensioner, etc. With the car cold you could start it with the belt off for a couple minutes and see if it stops.

Is there a loud hissing noise when you shift? If there is then your engine has suddenly grown a turbo!!!!!
