What is the size bolt needed for an ls1 to a stand???
Hello,
I am pretty sure that the size bellhousing bolt I need will be M10x1.5x40 but I just want to make sure. I got that measurement from a post on LS1TECH.com but I wanted to ask about it here. Getting my 98 LS1 on Thursday and completely forgot to get the bellhousing bolts for the engine. Also, some people were saying that they were special GM bolts also. So, what's the scoop? Are they standard bolts I can get from Lowes or are they something special I will have to get from GM?
Thank You,

That's the right size, but you have to remember that the holes on a stand are longer than the belhousing. Measure that, add it to the bolt length, then subtract the bellhousing length.
