What should come next......
Currently I have SLP fan switch, SLP loudmouth setup, SLP lid, ported t/b, t/b bypass, k&n filter, SLP cold air kit, no cats, subframe connectors, UMI torque arm, smooth bellows, EGR delete. It's an A4, 2002 LS1.
What could i go with next as a decent upgrade, but without breaking my pocket. I would love to get headers + Y pipe, but that's like 500 bucks, not including labor to install. Are there any other cheap but effective upgrades i could get?? Help me out............

With the loudmouth, I wouldn't recommend headers.
I say a nice 3600 stall for the tranny. Although that is gonna be pricey too.
LCA's with relocation brackets! (weld in's)
And I would recommend not ordering from SLP anymore.2008 Trailblazer SS

I agree that a stall should be the next performance mod, but won't that cost more than $500, which the OP is already saying is over his budget?

All the SLP items i have are not directly from SLP, i've gotten some from ebay and LMPerformance at a great price.
So basically there are no more cheap upgrades i can do?? Would a Ypipe on a stock exhaust manifold help any?....or waste of cash? Or what about some ARP underdrive pulleys?
Also, just a guessing question, but with the mods i have, can anyone guess more or less what HP I have, or could have. Thanks.Last edited by SSMuscle; 11-23-2009 at 08:29 AM.

I have an UD pulley....but I can't say what it was worth.
I wouldn't have it if my car was my only car though.
Your mods....305-310RWHP through the automatic. I wouldn't worry too much about how it dynos though, and concern yourself more with how well it runs and drives.

Save until you can get a stall. Thats the next logical mod really.

You probably could mount it down below the front head lights, there's plenty of room down there.
I mounted my catch-can down there, there's lots of room.Last edited by Blue28; 11-24-2009 at 10:33 AM.

No pictures that would do you any good, i would suggest you remove the headlight/s( more room on the passenger side) and take a good look. There's always air flowing through the fog-light opening, and at the bottom it's louvered, plus air is also flowing through the 2 openings in the nose of the car. So you can mount it flat at the bottom with it spaced up 1/2" or so, or make some mounting straps to mount it up-right behind the fog light opening.
I don't see any problem with mounting it either way.

Do you have a 160 stat? I see the manual fan control.
