headers and Y would be a decent next step unless it's an auto then do a stall first then headers/Y.

    Sub-frame connectors first for sure.
What is your main goal with the car?

not sure, like I said i'm a noob at modding, I was able to hang my exaust and install my lid but other than that I have alot of learning to do, i'd be happy with High/mid 12's I dont wanna go to over board, so subframe connectors, heads and y-pipe, how much of a gain will that actually give me?

If you already have headers then yes a stall is your next step, the gears you have are plenty especially with a stall. After install fees of your stall of choice that will bring you right around a grand. Not a stall expert but most go with a 3600, it seems people complain with anything under a 3200.

oh, ok cool, well maybe come spring i'll start out with sub frame connectors and headers, then after that the next thing i will get is a stall....sound like a wise choice??

subframe connectors are great for autocrossing, if you just have it as a daily driver/weekend warrior then sub frames are further down the road. If you were a manual cam and headers, since your an auto stall and headers would yield best results.

Yeah I only drive it in the summer time, 2-3 times a week, so i'll definatly put off the sub frame connectors, I think i'll go headers first then stall, any input on brands as far as headers go? saw some on ws6store.com starting at $299,
BTW thanks for answaring my questions

    You got it,
Go on LS1tech.com and look in the classifieds. You can find a nice used ceramic set for around 300 shipped, you might even get lucky and have the ory included. Pacesetter, hooker, and jet hots are all "affordable headers". Kooks if your rich and Slp if you got pawned. If you have a stock catback yuo can find them used on ls1tech as well, or depending on emissions laws you could see about putting on duals. Start going to different muffler shops and ask them how much they would charge for a custom setup. I got lucky my exhaust guy is cheap.

Do you have a ball park guess on what kind of performance gains I can see after getting headers installed? And ya I know a guy that does some exaust work around here in the metro area, its kind of a mom and pop place but I bet I could get some work done for cheap...

Stock my car put down 288rwhp. With lid, ported throttlebody, Ls-6 manifold, Jet hot headers with duals I put down 338hp/355tq. Now the manifold only helps way up top and gave me like 6-8rwhp. If you truly don't se yourself putting that stall in for a while, get a small cam like a 220 or something that won't make your a4 unliveable but will probably net you another 20 maybe 30 rwhp. Ls-6 $300 6rwhp, small cam $300 20 minimum rwhp and power throughout the curve.
    my car is an a4
