What more performance ads can i do ??
I have a 2002 RA TA. 10k miles so I don't what to do major changes. Just bolt on's. This is what I done so far. Anyone have thought on what the next good one or 2 items would be to bring out some more power in this LS1 (not that is doens't have enough but more is always better.
Rather not change the Torque converter either as I'm not worried about 1/4 times.
auto, LS1 lid K&N filter, 85mm MAF, SLP y pipe, Corsa Cat Back System
Dyno RWHP 330.3 RWTQ 349.6.
After dyno: Bosche Platium +4 plugs, Air Bellow, Predator Custome Tune, 3.73gears

Headers, they will more than likely make your car a little raspy with that catback. Port and polish throttle body.

gilbertsville... home of Zerns...
honestly a shift kit and TQ converter would make your car a ton more fun to drive... headers (e-bay ones) would be a decent gain... i got my headers shipped to my door for a little over $220.00...
also... get rid of the bosh +4 plugs... i've had problems with mine not running rigth with them junk plugs... i'd go with auto light or ngk plugs...
have you done anyof the free mods???

thanks all !
yes, Home of Zerns ! love the +4 plugs, no problems, idles and wuicker throttle response as soon as I added them.
I seen the SS bolt on headers on EBAY, thought of picking up them?
lose the SLP pipe? replace it with ? or do you mean get rid of having a y pipe and run true duals ? I don't want to do that.
are bolt on headers good for anything ? I know the long branch would be better but I don't want to hack up this car or make changing to what I already have. Not looking to get crazy with the car as I have 5 other older pontiac muscle cars in my collection.Last edited by gtopercy; 10-25-2009 at 04:53 PM.

SLP is just known for making troublesome shitty parts so 99.9% of members say to stay far far away from SLP parts...just replace it with possibly a Texas Speed ypipe
the ebay headders are great my friend put them on his T/A a week after i put my Pacesetters headers on and his are still shiny and mine are all rusted on the bottom, so they are a good header
With a longtube header you will really wake the car up for the money spent, will be louder and will defiantly have a impressive power gain
i would go with a set of headers, ypipe, and the free mods...and you'll be happy
heres a link to the free mods http://www.installuniversity.com/lsx...documents.html2000 B4C Special Service Package Z28 - Kooks 1&7/8 Stepped 2'' - TSP Torquer V.2 - FAST 92/92 - BDR 4000 Conveter - Xtreme Trans Stage II - Full UMI Suspension - Pacesetter LT's - Comp Drag Shocks - Magnaflow - Cutout - ZO6 MAF - FTP LID - Street Tuned -

I guess I should of said, bolt on SS headers (shorty's) worth buying?
or can I get a long tube header with a y pipe that will work with my Corsa Cat back system?
I have the 160 thermo, coolant by pass, removed the hood scoop flapper,
air box with K&N filter (direct flow)
SLP 85mm MAF Sensor
Corsa Cat Back System (standard tips)
Hotchiks lowering springs
LS1 Level 1 suspension package:
LS1 Aluminum rear control arms
Bolt on relocation brackets
BMR double adjustable standard panard bar
BMR strut bar brace
SLP 2.5" y pipe

long tube headers.....shorties wont get you any gains. to add long tubes you dont need to do any "hacking" of your car, there bolt on.......
