What the F*** did I do???

I took off my lid, maf, bellow, and throttle body because I am going to send it in to be ported... Today, I want to drive my car... So I put everything back on and start the car and it starts up, then stalls, struggles for a bit to run, then dies... I checked all the connections and I hooked everything back up...? What did I do?

    Make Sure

Make sure you hooked up the sensor connectors..three (3) as I recall. If that is okay it might have to relearn itself so attempt to keep it running. It will settle-in.

Try unhooking the battery now, then rehook to see if that helps the relearn.
Do you have a code reader or programmer ?

The little motor on the side of the thottle body controls the idle. In the front of the TB there is a big hole, that is the air inlet to the idle motor. check them out. Maybe something got sucked in... You can increase the idle screw for more air, but that won't fix the problem at hand...

Just kidding about the hammer !
Sounds like something is failing. Do you have a LS1 buddy close by, that you could swap the MAF with to trouble shoot ?

Sounds like you definitely don't have somthing put together correctly. Are you sure there's no leaks where the tube goes onto the TB? Also make sure you didn't break a wire in the MAF although that should throw a code. It sounds to me like air is getting in somewhere between the MAF and TB or a vacuum hose is off somewhere.

if air is getting in behind your maf and or iat sensors, it will make it run all choppy and spittin and sputterin. also check all your wires to make sure nothing is broken and not connecting right. is your check engine lite on?

When i was first swapping TB's my car did the same thing and what it was is I forgot to connect to the TPS. two plugs on the side of the TB make sure they are plugged in all the way. My car had similar symptoms until I figured it out. started the car it ran funny and I was standing there scratching my head looking right at the unplugged connectors and finally realized I forgot to hook them back up.

i found it...! its my egr tube. I did the egr delete mod awhile back... (where you cut off the end of it to increase air flow into the intake) and somehow where the hose meets the metal connecting piece that is screwed on to the top of the intake, a small hole or gap, about 1/8 of in or so, has developed and air can get into the intake that way.. soooo what are my options?
