Black/Purple Marble- 1995 Camaro
F-body, is just the code name for the body given to firebirds and camaro's by GM, its a basic frame code I guess you could say. They also have b bodies, h bodies ect..

Yeah-it's a letter code assigned by the factory for the Camaro/ Firebird line of cars. If you ever heard of the infamous K-car by Chrysler for example-that was their letter code for the little POS (well they weren't that bad-I had one by default many years ago)front wheel drive cars.

The "F" is in the VIN because thats the body style--they dont call it "F" body because of the VIN.

It also refers to the frame on which these cars sit. It's a combo deal. The 2009 will not be an Fbody. It will be a Z (Zeta) frame, which is shared with the GTO. Hence the 2009 Camaro will only be a Camaro in name and not as it's heritage was for 35 years... At least the the rumor mill at this point...
